First of all, it is necessary to determine the academic strengths that a student has under the research. Thus, the case study notes that Laney has a high level of motivation, which allows her to show quite successful results in training. Hence, the girl is filling out her graphic organizers in social studies class and has good sociability and group work skills. In addition, it shows an excellent auditory perception of information and its representation to the teacher.
Results from Evaluations
The teacher, as part of a case study, conducted an evaluation of the abilities and educational performance of a Laney student. Tier 2 intervention and four-point rule (The IRIS Center for training enhancements, 2018). After six weeks, the teacher received results that the girl’s indicators were significantly lower than those that were set as a goal. The main problem is the low attention span of the student and difficulties in reproducing the information read.

Moreover, the girl has a short concentration time, which affects problems with memorizing and reproducing information. Otherwise, Laney is a reasonably capable child and loves group work and cooperation. In addition, the participant is able to communicate her thoughts and needs.
Influences on Language, Culture, and Family Background
The case study does not emphasize the linguistic and cultural background of the female student under the study. Regarding the family, the Laney family also confirmed the child’s reading problems. Parents brought up in the girl the ability to find a common language with the others. Moreover, it is essential to note that Laney is growing up in a full family while constantly seeing other relatives, which has a positive influence on her. Henceforth, this is reflected in her stable behavior, the ability to obey teachers and the ability to communicate with children.
Strengths, Preferences, and Interests in Non-Academic Areas
The case study says that the girl quickly establishes a relationship with people, which makes her open and sociable. Laney prefers listening to music and dancing to it at home. Not much information is presented in the case study regarding non-academic preferences and interests.

Additional Information to Collect
In order to gain a better understanding of the causes of problems with the child’s reading, further research is necessary. Perhaps the Cognitive Abilities Test can be useful and effective in this case.
Of particular importance in the educational process is the knowledge of the potential effect of differences in values, languages, and customs that can exist between the home and school. This is because each family has unique features of what is considered necessary, right or wrong. For example, in some families, it may be the norm to treat adults as equals, but at school, this culture is not encouraged. In addition, in some cultures, there is a value of modesty and silence, while active participation is encouraged in the classroom. These aspects and their differences within the educational institution promote diversity, tolerance and motivate students (Tus, 2020). However, in the absence of a proper introduction to these aspects, discrimination or bullying can occur (Astor & Benbenishty, 2018). They may appear when representatives of a dominant racial or cultural group may contact children of the indigenous population, whose traditions and customs are often reflected in their appearance. This fact determines the importance of spreading awareness among children about the differences between people.
